YOBALANCE HOT YOGA
YoBalance is the first dedicated hot yoga studio in Bradford. We are situated in the grounds of Victoria Mills, Shipley, set against a backdrop of beautiful surroundings, you can expect to feel inspired and motivated during your hot yoga classes here.
We carefully control heat and humidity in our classes and ensure there is a constant stream of fresh air. Our flooring is designed to provide a high level of comfort and safety, it’s robust enough to keep balance and perform poses properly and it doesn’t absorb liquid either, which is perfect for hot yoga sessions.
Practicing yoga in a room heated to a high temperature increases not just your pulse rate, but metabolism too, allowing your blood vessels to become more flexible, and forcing your body to burn extra calories. This improves circulation, increasing blood flow to the limbs. Hot yoga is excellent for weight loss, and like other forms of yoga, it will build muscle tone whilst improving the lymphatic system and flushing out toxins. The postures themselves are detoxifying for your muscles, organs, and glands and sweating furthers that.
At YoBalance we do all we can to create an open, inclusive atmosphere, with fantastic, supportive people. When you come to the studio, everybody is welcome we offer daily hot yoga classes to suit all ages and levels, so it doesn’t matter if you are a complete novice, we have the perfect class for you and our instructor will guide you through all postures very clearly, ensuring you don’t do anything you are not ready for and that you enjoy every minute of your class. The hot studio is a great workout – we all have our goals, whether it’s to get fit for the summer or an occasion, lose weight or regain some focus. But we do it with a smile!
Hot yoga comes in all kinds of styles – our range of classes include Hot Vinyasa Flow, Hot Hatha Yoga, Hot Yoga (Bikram style), Forrest Yoga conducted in a warm room – we also have a weekly class on the timetable which focuses on breathing and meditation.
Here are a few things that will help you enjoy your class; always wear comfortable clothing, you will sweat so sportswear is the best (no shoes). A Yoga mat and a towel to cover your mat (both can be rented at the studio), you will need a water bottle to hydrate throughout your class (you can buy a bottle at the studio if you forget one) and, please arrive 15 – 25 mins before class if it’s your first time, regular students can arrive 5mins before.
